Nautical Miles - Exhibition by Jayne Rolinson

Friday 21 October 2016
6.30pm

SOLO EXHIBITION starts this Friday night.  Join us for a wonderful evening to view a new collection of artwork by Western Australian Artist Jayne Rolinson.

I think you can definitely see how the coast has inspired Jayne to create this collection.  So fresh and appealing featuring a body of abstract artworks dedicated to our amazing coastline.

Jayne Comments "I am constantly in awe and of this stunning coast. I try and walk the dogs on the beach every day. One day a gentle breeze – tranquil turquoise waters. Next day howling winds whipping the ocean into a frenzy - beating the sand. As an artist the visual inspiration of  the coast is simply amazing."

We are looking forward to all art lovers to view this collection with an opening night which starts at 6.30pm at our Latitude Gallery located in GERALDTON, 169 Marine Terrace.  Please email manager@latitudegallery.com.au or ph 0899646601  RSVP Appreciated but not essential

You can also enjoy viewing this collection until December.

Learning to Fly Exhibition by Jayne Rolinson

Exhibiting now in Geraldton

You could best describe Jayne’s art as energetic, bold, vibrant, deep history with a complexity of layers, defined and delicate.   Jayne has a unique way of painting over the surface of the canvas to create energy, texture and depth. Jayne paints intuitively allowing her images to evolve as revelations of her innermost thoughts and feelings are revealed on the canvas. Painting this way allows her artwork to become an ‘inspiration of the moment’.

In addition to creating art, it is very important to Jayne that she donates to various charities every year. It gives her great fulfilment in knowing that her donations are being appreciated and contributing to helping others.

Jayne’s great passion for combining nature, contemporary and abstract approach to art is evident. Jayne paints from her heart, with passion and determination that keeps her reaching for new heights. Public popularity and demand for Jayne’s work continues to rise.

Young Jewellers Award 2015

Exhibiting in Geraldton until 11 July 2015

Latitude Gallery donated 30 pearls from our own pearl farm at the Abrolhos Islands to the Nagle Catholic College jewellery students in Geraldton.  They could then design and make  a piece of jewellery of their choice in their classroom. On the 27th June 2015 we displayed the jewellery in our gallery for the public to view.  It will be on display until 11 July 2015.   We awarded the winners, but all students deserve recognition as we are very proud of what they created with our wonderful pearls.
The award categories were:
Young Jeweller of the Year - which entitles the student to 1 day working in the gallery alongside one our experienced jewellers.
Principals Award
Gallery Choice Award
People's Choice Award
